Donna asks…
I am NOT losing fat but weight?
I have been dieting for a while now and I am now down at 178 pounds but i still have some fat around my stomach. I’m still losing weight and eating right but I just can’t start seeing the 6-pack, Iwould say i’m maybe around 15% bodyfat but i’m not sure.
What should I do to lose the fat faster? cause it feels like i’m barely losing any fat at all
admin answers:
First of all. Good job keep up the good work.
Now about losing fat. Fat is generally lost evenly about your body, there are a couple places where it goes slower but outside of that its lost evenly. Outside of liposuction there is no way around this. Doing more exercise on your stomach will not cause you to lose fat faster from your stomach. In fact it may make you look fatter. This is because as the muscles develop underneath the fat and thus push the fat forwards. So while you are in fact healthier you may not seem as much so.
For a proper 6 pack you are looking for somewhere between 8-12% body fat. Body fat is the main thing to track here as BMI is only a rough guide.
To lose fat faster simple do more of what oyu are doing now. Ensure a healthy diet of good proportions (do not starve yourself) and do a good amount of exercise.

Chris asks…
if im getting skinnier does that mean im losing fat ?
i lift weights that are like 20lbs and i exercise for 2hrs a day doing cardio (really intense) i’ve gotten smaller but i still feel fat…im 19 5’6-5’7 and around 160 lbs i use to be 190 but still losing that much weight im still fat. so am i not losing fat?? i just wanna look normal not skeletal so im not exaggerating about how i feel.
admin answers:
Maybe try making the workouts less intense – a little discomfort is okay, but if you do exercise that your body can’t handle, it becomes less effective. Also, try working out every other day, so you’ll be giving your muscles time to repair themselves. And be sure to drink water to stay hydrated from the exercise! Best of luck!

Paul asks…
Is it possible for me to be losing weight but still getting fatter? ?
im 5’8”, female.. i weighed about 125 6 months ago. since then ive gained about 20 pounds(i stopped exercising). however in the past couple weeks i dropped about 6 pounds, but i feel like i gained fat. is this all in my head? or is it possible for me to have lost weight and be fatter???
admin answers:
It could be all in your head, but its possible you could have lost muscle mass, and gained fat. Muscle weighs more than fat.
