I am NOT losing fat but weight?
I have been dieting for a while now and I am now down at 178 pounds but i still have some fat around my stomach. I’m still losing weight and eating right but I just can’t start seeing the 6-pack, Iwould say i’m maybe around 15% bodyfat but i’m not sure.
What should I do to lose the fat faster? cause it feels like i’m barely losing any fat at all
First of all. Good job keep up the good work.
Now about losing fat. Fat is generally lost evenly about your body, there are a couple places where it goes slower but outside of that its lost evenly. Outside of liposuction there is no way around this. Doing more exercise on your stomach will not cause you to lose fat faster from your stomach. In fact it may make you look fatter. This is because as the muscles develop underneath the fat and thus push the fat forwards. So while you are in fact healthier you may not seem as much so.
For a proper 6 pack you are looking for somewhere between 8-12% body fat. Body fat is the main thing to track here as BMI is only a rough guide.
To lose fat faster simple do more of what oyu are doing now. Ensure a healthy diet of good proportions (do not starve yourself) and do a good amount of exercise.
if im getting skinnier does that mean im losing fat ?
i lift weights that are like 20lbs and i exercise for 2hrs a day doing cardio (really intense) i’ve gotten smaller but i still feel fat…im 19 5’6-5’7 and around 160 lbs i use to be 190 but still losing that much weight im still fat. so am i not losing fat?? i just wanna look normal not skeletal so im not exaggerating about how i feel.
Maybe try making the workouts less intense – a little discomfort is okay, but if you do exercise that your body can’t handle, it becomes less effective. Also, try working out every other day, so you’ll be giving your muscles time to repair themselves. And be sure to drink water to stay hydrated from the exercise! Best of luck!
im losing weight, but my body still looks fat! help!?
so the concerta for adhd im on is helping me not gourge on lots of food. so i went from 156 to 137 in two months. so i have a bally’s membership. now let me tell you, im very weak. i cant do pull ups push ups. just my muscles are really weak. even with little barbells. what i want to do is get my body a little stronger and also lose the fat! basically i want to look fit. and toned. i have love handles and thighs and arms. the only places that look like i lost weigh are my upper torso where my ribs are and my face. so, they tell me to go on those machines but i feel weak. so can some one tell me a regimen or something? thanks !!!
ok maybe i wasnt understandable. im wondering that since the weight losing is happening, i just need help to get my body looking in shape, like no flabby arms, get the fat off my stomach and thighs, etc. do i tone then after im toned, resistance? do i build muscle then lose the fat? how do i get my body in correct shape.
Forguet everything they said, one time i was fat, but now i am good, you dont need to do exercise or change your food habits, in my case, i only drinked water and it works. But you can only drink water.
Is it possible for me to be losing weight but still getting fatter? ?
im 5’8”, female.. i weighed about 125 6 months ago. since then ive gained about 20 pounds(i stopped exercising). however in the past couple weeks i dropped about 6 pounds, but i feel like i gained fat. is this all in my head? or is it possible for me to have lost weight and be fatter???
It could be all in your head, but its possible you could have lost muscle mass, and gained fat. Muscle weighs more than fat.
